Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! Rock hard abs are extremely hard to form and perfect. But that does not mean that they are impossible to achieve. With plenty of hard work, time, determination and diet, you, too, can get to strut a set of rock hard, rippling six packs, to the admiration (and envy) of many.
Yes, you can get those rock hard abs by tightening up your abdominal muscles. You can do this with a combination of the right exercise and diet. Here are some steps that you can do to get the kind of abs you want. Mind you, this may sound simple, but these are hard and will require a great deal of motivation. But really, if you want six pack abs that you can be proud of, you need to go down this route.
First, have a combination of abdominal and cardio workouts. Yes, you can run, jog, skip or walk in order to help you take away the fat layer in the stomach. Then, you have to tone the stomach muscles using abdominal workouts. Target the upper, lower and oblique muscles in the stomach. There are plenty of exercises that focus on these key ab areas. It is also useful to do a combination of high-intensity and moderate-intensity workouts.
Second, when doing exercises, it is best to breathe deeply and go slowly. How you do these exercises and how you coordinate your breathing will have a considerable impact on the effect of the exercises. So be sure to do the exercises slowly, so that you really workout these areas. And keep the breathing in pace with the exercise speed.
Third, eat right. Avoid foods that are high in sugar and fat content. Also, your eating should be spaced evenly. For example, try to eat a small meal or snack every four hours. This way, the metabolism is always at a high and on the go as it burns calories. Also, alcohol should be taken moderately, or not at all. And, if you really want to burn fat, the equation is simple – the calories you are able to burn should be greater than the calories you consume.
Those to die-for rock hard abs are not obtained using shortcuts. But if you really want it, you must be willing to work hard (and work out) for it.
