How To Get A Six Pack

Are those flab abs getting to you?  Do you want to say bye-bye to that beer belly?  Do you want to have the abs that you can flaunt and be proud of?  Rippling six pack abs are something all of us wants to have.  So, here are some simple secrets on how to get a six pack.

One, do a combination of cardiovascular and weight lifting exercises.  Cardiovascular exercises help to lose the fat, but it does not effectively build muscle mass, something that you need in order to have those six pack abs you so want to have.  Yes, even if you do seemingly endless crunches in a day, that will not give you six pack abs.  It is also best to do some exercises that target the abdominal muscles.   The exercises you can add to your fitness program is to include crunches, reverse crunches, jackknifes, and sit ups.  You have to train your abdominal muscles to tone up and to be firmer.  As for a full body exercise, you should workout using weights –such as bicep curls, deadlifts, bench presses, squats, pullups and tricep extensions.

Two, the second step on how to get a six pack involves having a balanced and healthy diet, one that is full of fibers and less of sweets and fats.  Say no to “white” food – white rice, white sugar and white bread.  And say yes to fruits, vegetables and fiber and protein rich foods.   This is important so that you can help to get rid of the fat.

Three, maintaining a regular eating schedule is one way of how to get a six pack.  Our metabolism responds to our food intake.  That means, the metabolism slows down when we stop eating and it speeds up when we eat.  We need to train our metabolism in such a way that it is able to effectively and efficiently burn calories.   When we skip breakfast or eat out of schedule, our metabolism goes out of whack.  When we deprive ourselves of food, our body responds by burning fat more slowly.  So, we must rev up our metabolism by eating more regularly – that means we should eat every three hours.  Mind you, however, these meals must be healthy.  Protein-rich foods are also the order of the day, since you need more of these to build muscles.

Lastly, enjoy yourself.  Even as you keep the end goal in mind, the best method on how to get six pack abs would be to enjoy the whole process.  This will give you lasting power you will need for you, especially when the exercises and dieting become difficult.

I agree. Eating properly and stimulating the metabolism is one of the most important aspects to gaining a six pack. Who knows, you probably have a set hiding under that belly fat. I invite you to check out more of my thoughts.

Most people don’t realize that they need to eat more meals in a day to speed up their metabolism. These just need to be smaller portions, and rich in protien for building muscles.
