What is the 8 pack abs diet? Well, the diet is the same in all cases in which you would like to have nice abs. It is not really a special diet, but you need to make sure that the diet you keep is in line with what you need to follow in order to have nice abs.

In order to have visible abs, you need to be fat free on your belly. This is the simple, but harsh truth. Therefore, your diet must support a lean, muscular body.

Here are a few elements to consider:

  • Consume carbs with moderation! Carbohydrates excess could lead to gaining weight and this is to be avoided, of course. The best time to eat carbs is in the morning and after a gym workout. You should really avoid them in the evening. And generally speaking sugar and refined carbs should be kept out of your menu most of the times. Go for vegetables, fruits mainly.
  • Feed your body with protein. Yes, proteins are needed in order to maintain muscles, so include enough in your diet. This is not to say that you need to eat protein in excess.
  • Healthy fats are not bad! There is a tendency in some people to avoid fats completely. Of course, if you eat large quantities of fat, they translate into a lot of calories. But if you eat moderately healthy fats, eg. Omega 3 rich foods, than it’s OK.
  • Drink plenty of water! Especially on low carb diets, it is important to consume enough water, to avoid strain on your kidneys.
